Update on roofing details

We have been talking to roofing consultants, other
construction
companies and clients that have used TPO material
on their roof.
Thus far we still don't know what next steps will be with the roofing contractor
but we are leaving no stone unturned.
We learned that the Marriott installed the same
material on their roof deck so we hope to view that later this week.

More interior Framing shots

Scott is still working on some kitchen framing-
this is a side view of where
the cabinets/stove will beAdded notes for electrian to install outlets in kitchen

Exhaust fan installed in light shaft.
This is a photo of the fan standing on the roof deck

Paved area by front door- 3 coats put on for durability.
Looks a lot like sandpaper.

Picture from work accomplished this weekend-
wall framed between kitchen and living room.
Dining room in back ground and fireplace on left hand side

Garage Slab Reinforcement

The garage floor was waterproofed
with HLM5000
which is a black tar-rubber like substance
that is troweled on the plywood.
Then, the roofer's applied waterproofing panels
and sealed the joints.
Waterproofing is key here since
our kitchen is below.
The concrete crew came today
and put re-bar & gravel in place
for the garage & shop slab.
Inspection tomorrow,
Pour on Wednesday.

Drying out the house with fans and circular window installation

We have two circular windows installed by the front door

Due to all the moisture in the wood from the snow and rain we have had fans blowing for over a week. This has to be done before drywalling can begin. We ordered the siding this week which will be delivered in the next 3 weeks.

Issues with Roof

The roof has speed bumps- of course, the roofer insists that wrinkles always occur after installation & will diminish over time. Besides appearance, we are concerned about the ponding of water and the indirect route that water takes to the drain.

Moving right along

Scott put cap on railing and on planters of roof deck

To save us some $ Scott is doing some interior framing. He's framed out some of the kitchen. This is the half wall dividing the kitchen from the living room

Gas fireplace was installed
